Resumo: This essay aims to dialogue with some reflections from Professor Dr. David F.L. Gomes about his approach on “BRAZIL, 2020: AN ATTEMPT TO DIAGNOSIS”. The theoretical-methodological framework was built with some contributions from the Theories of Argumentation, through the text “Régimes de rationalité, post-vérité et conspirationnisme: at-perdu le goût du vrai”, by French linguist Emmanuelle Danblon (2020), thought out discursively with some categories extracted from Habermas' Social Theory, made explicit especially in his works Theory of Communicative Action I (1999 [1981]), The Philosophical Discourse of Modernity (2000 [1985]) and Moral Consciousness and Communicative Action 1989 [1983]. Thus, the purpose of this text is to discuss some Habermasian categories such as "world of life", "reification of society", "communicative rationality", "decentralization of the subject" and others that, combined with the idea of reason within the limits of its precariousness, will allow us to think about the subject's relationship with the notion of post-truth, as possible interpretations of the current context related to Brazilian society.
