Resumo: The review discusses the main points of Professor Karine Salgado's doctoral thesis, which is entitled Why did the essence not reach the concept? Study on the medieval contribution to human dignity, connecting them with the image that Modernity has of itself in relation to the past and with the modern concept of human dignity.
