Resumo: This essay is an imaginative exercise about the role of the state scientist in an intangible future, something like 1000 years in the future. As the exercise of the future presented here is on a very large scale, the text is exploratory in nature and clearly has no predictive pretensions. Usually, state scientists focus on two approaches when reflecting on their own role: a pragmatic one, which aims at solving concrete political problems or the survival of the course itself, and an abstract one, which focuses on the theory and philosophy of the state or other epistemological issues. However, neither of them allows for a more free and loose imaginative exercise, an approach that I call romantic. That is the proposal of this essay: an exploratory imaginative exercise about the role of the scientist of the state in this intangible future, driven by curiosity. For this exploratory exercise, help was sought from artificial intelligence, through ChatGPT, and literature, especially science fiction. The goal is to stimulate imagination and to think more broadly and creatively about the role of the state scientist in a distant future, and to demonstrate how important it is, even as a strategy for effective interdisciplinary work and for the sake of the future, to appropriate the themes and debates of the present time.

Normalmente, los científicos del Estado se enfocan en dos enfoques cuando reflexionan sobre su propio papel: uno pragmático, que busca resolver problemas políticos concretos o la supervivencia del curso en sí, y otro abstracto, que se enfoca en la teoría y filosofía del Estado u otros temas epistemológicos. Sin embargo, ninguno de ellos permite un ejercicio imaginativo más libre y suelto, un enfoque que llamo romántico. Esa es la propuesta de este ensayo: un ejercicio imaginativo exploratorio sobre el papel del científico del Estado en este futuro intangible, impulsado por la curiosidad. Para este ejercicio exploratorio, se buscó ayuda de la inteligencia artificial, a través de ChatGPT, y de la literatura, especialmente la ciencia ficción. El objetivo es estimular la imaginación y pensar de manera más amplia y creativa sobre el papel del científico del Estado en un futuro lejano y demostrar lo importante que es, incluso como estrategia para un trabajo interdisciplinario efectivo y en aras del futuro, apropiarse de los temas y debates del tiempo presente.Este ensaio é um exercício imaginativo sobre o papel do cientista do Estado no futuro intangível, algo como 1000 anos no futuro. Como o exercício de futuro aqui se apresenta numa escala muito ampla, o texto é de natureza exploratória e não tem pretensões preditivas, é claro. Normalmente, os cientistas do Estado se concentram em duas abordagens quando refletem sobre o próprio papel: uma pragmática, que visa a resolução de problemas políticos concretos ou da própria sobrevivência do curso, e outra abstrata, que se concentra na teoria e na filosofia do Estado ou demais questões epistemológicas. Nenhuma delas, porém, permite um exercício imaginativo mais solto e livre, uma abordagem que chamo de romântica. Essa é a proposta do ensaio: um exercício imaginativo exploratório sobre o papel do cientista do Estado nesse futuro intangível, movido pela curiosidade. Para esse exercício exploratório, buscou-se ajuda da inteligência artificial, por meio do ChatGPT, e da literatura, em especial a ficção científica.
