The Family Health Strategy consists of the model used by Brazil to improve Primary Health Care. However, the implementation of the assistance provided by the Family Health Strategy is still incipient in the city of Engenheiro Caldas, in the state of Minais Gerais. Thus, this intervention project aims to plan actions to implement the Family Health Strategy in the primary care unit Ana Mafra Aguiar of the municipality of Engenheiro Caldas – MG. The situational diagnosis of the territory of Coverage of the municipality of Engenheiro Caldas/MG with emphasis on the family health team Ana Mafra Aguiar. After this analysis, it was recognized the need for an intervention plan aimed at implementation the Family Health Strategy. The critical nodes found were: the morosity in the implementation of the Family Health Strategy, the lack of acceptance by the community of the proposed changes, the convenience of Health professionals in relation to the proposed changes and the lack of training these professionals. Finally, this project evidences the need to effectively implement the Family Health Strategy considering its importance for the unified Health System.
