Objetivo: Nesse contexto, julgou-se procedente analisar comparativamente a auto e heteropercepção do grau de desenvolvimento das competências técnicas e comportamentais dos alunos do Curso de Gestão de Serviços de Saúde inseridos no campo de estágio curricular não-obrigatório, bem como construir e validar uma escala para tal. Partiu-se do pressuposto que os estágios são uma oportunidade para que o acadêmico aprimore e desenvolva seus conhecimentos e comportamentos, sendo o alicerce para a ampliação e solidificação das competências profissionais. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva cujo meio de investigação adotado foi o estudo de caso, com coleta por meio de questionário eletrônico, utilizando-se a estatística descritiva para descrição e análise dos mesmos. Resultados: Tanto no que se refere às competências técnicas e comportamentais, o estudo mostra que existem competências que são percebidas como desenvolvidas pelos alunos e não necessariamente pelos supervisores, e vice e versa. Nas que apresentam diferenças significativas se deve primeiro intervir, buscando entender os motivos para a leitura divergente de situação, bem como alternativas para promover o desenvolvimento daquelas que são consideradas essenciais pelos serviços. Conclusões: Esperamos que iniciativas como esta possam ser colocadas em prática em outras unidades de ensino, promovendo uma formação profissional mais adequada às demandas dos serviços de saúde. É preciso enfatizar que é através do encontro entre a auto e heteropercepção que identidades saudáveis são construídas.Introduction: The need to reformulate the management model indirectly affects the educational system and obliges educational institutions to explore pedagogical practices based on interdisciplinarity to stimulate areas not instigated by the student. Objective: In this context, it was considered appropriate to analyze comparatively the self and heteroperception of the degree of development of technical and behavioral competences of the students of the CGSS inserted in the field of non-compulsory curricular traineeship, and e build and validate a scale for such. It was assumed that the internships are an opportunity for the academic to improve and develop their knowledge and behaviors, being the foundation for the expansion and solidification of professional skills. Methodology: This is a descriptive research whose method of investigation was the case study, with electronic questionnaire collection, using the descriptive statistics for description and analysis of the same. Results: As far as technical and behavioral competences are concerned, the study shows that there are competences that are perceived as being developed by students and not necessarily by supervisors, and vice versa. In those that present significant differences on these, one must first intervene, seeking to understand the reasons for the divergent reading of the situation, as well as alternatives to promote the development of those that are considered essential by the services. Conclusions: We hope that initiatives such as this can be put into practice in other teaching units, promoting a professional training more adequate to the demands of the health services.
