Resumo: Summary: As the incidence of total knee arthroplasty increases, a concurrent increase in periprosthetic fractures will also occur. This article focuses on the most common fracture types and current strategies adopted to overcome this challenging clinical problem. Our goal is to outline the role of locking plates in the management of knee periprosthetic fractures.
