BUILDING BRIDGES: THE CASE OF THE GYMNASTICS FOR ALL CONGRESS IN WEST CENTRAL

Congresses, symposiums, forums, among other events, constitute the academic environment as important training environments. The purpose of this paper is to identify how an event held in the Midwest region of the country has contributed to the formation and dissemination of knowledge about Gymnastics for All (GfA) in this region, analyzing its implications at the national level. We conducted a case study, with documentary research, having as sources institutional collections (2010 to 2019), and the Book of Abstract of the event. It was identified that this event has contributed to the scientific dissemination of GfA, the creation of new projects, the greater involvement of the North and Northeast regions in this debate, and the introduction of GfA in the curricula of higher education institution. It was concluded that the event presents a structural organization applicable to other social contexts, and can fill this gap of promotion of GfA in other states and regions of the country, whose promotion of GfA is necessary.
