Resumo: The article sets course for examining five documents between the years 1878 and 1935, dealing with attempts to murder, injury and beatings followed by miscarriages suffered by women in Sergipe. The choice of this specific documentation guided by two criteria: 1. Position in the Thematic Sources from AGPJSE; 2. Any similarities between the acts of violence against women. Has as objectives in this work: identify the typology and regularity of crimes against women in Sergipe; check the legal treatment given to process related to these crimes; lift the historiography which deals with crimes against women in the legal documentation of Sergipe. The method of consisted work in comparative critical analysis of the sources, collated with relevant bibliography on the subject and to the historical context of Sergipe.

A escolha dessa documentação específica orientou-se por dois critérios: 1. Posição de Destaque no Guia de Fontes Temáticas do AGPJSE; 2. Alguma similaridade entre os atos de violência contra as mulheres. Tem-se como objetivos nesse trabalho: identificar a tipologia e regularidade dos crimes contra as mulheres em Sergipe; verificar o tratamento jurídico dado aos processos relacionados a esses crimes; levantar a historiografia que trata dos crimes contra mulheres em Sergipe a parir de documentação judicial.
