Experiencias de intercambio entre Brasil y Argentina: contexto socioeconómico, cientificismo y abordajes críticos

Between 2014 and 2017 our de­partment developed, together with a Brazilian partner, a project called “Associated posgradu­ate studies” (CAFB-BA). The exchanges were carried out within the framework of institutional agreements between the Master of Border Stu­dies (MEF) of the Universidad Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS), Brasil, and the Post­graduate program in Anthropology, Universi­dad de Buenos Aires (FFyL-UBA), Ciudad Au­tónoma de Buenos Aires, República Argentina. The programm was supported and granted by the Brazilian partner Coordenação de Aperfei­çoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CA­PES) and the Argentinian partner Secretaría de Políticas Universitarias (SPU). Although the University of Buenos Aires has traditionally had more academic profile, the aim of this article is to present some of the re­search as well as the results of non-academic extension/transfer programs and experiences that are taking place in the Center for Innova­tion and Development for Community Action (CIDAC) -in the south area of Buenos Aires City- and in the “Technological and Social De­velopment Projects” (PDTS). We will analyze the similarities and differences that emerge between our experience and the programs de­veloped by MEF-UFMS with institutions that fo­cus on work with migrants in the border region of Mato Grosso do Sul.
