Resumo: In the digital society, in which individuals are increasingly connected to the virtual world, individual data is collected and processed day in and day out. The practice of appropriating human experience for comprehensive monitoring, both by companies and governments, is a counter to human rights and, in particular, the right to privacy. To defend fundamental guarantees, this work aims to understand the specificities of digital surveillance in the context of the right to privacy, using the deductive method, based on bibliographic and legislative analysis.

A prática de apropriação da experiência humana para o monitoramento indiscriminado, tanto das empresas quanto dos governos, é uma afronta aos direitos humanos e, em especial, ao direito à privacidade, inclusive no contexto escolar.
