Resumo: This present work presents an analysis of the reasons and consequences of the inclusion of Law No. 11.340/2006 in the Brazilian legal system, while studying the historical feminist struggle for women's rights and the repercussions in the legislative field. In this sense, we will address the changes brought about by Law No. 11.340/2006 from the perspective of reducing violence against women and the current situation observed in Brazil. To do so, the descriptive research method, of a qualitative nature, was used, through literature review, document analysis, and jurisprudential examination.

Nesse sentido, abordaremos as mudanças trazidas pela Lei n. 11.340/2006 sob a perspectiva de diminuir a violência contra as mulheres e a real situação apurada atualmente no Brasil.
