CURSOS DE ENFERMAGEM DE INSTITUIÇÕES PÚBLICAS ABORDAM A SAÚDE DA POPULAÇÃO LGBTQIA+ NA FORMAÇÃO PROFISSIONAL?

Resumo: The LGBTQIA+ population has a demand around sexuality that has not been addressed in the training of nursing professionals. Thus, the objective was to analyze the teaching offered to students of nursing courses in Brazilian public institutions for a better reception of the LGBTQIA+ public. For this, we used data from the Course Pedagogical Project (CPP) of nursing courses in several Brazilian public institutions to verify if there are mandatory disciplines that address the theme. 63 CPPs available were selected and analyzed, where it was found that only 9 (14.28%) courses have the theme clearly addressed in mandatory subjects. Learning about care for the LGBTQIA+ population provides a better reception since, in many cases, family rejection still occurs, in addition to prejudice and social censorship that comes from society. It is important to point out that among the positive findings there are still remnants, such as disciplines that are totally theoretical and therefore still do not prepare the professional for assistance. The conditions for humanization in serving all audiences are still fragmented and taboos need to be overcome and treated with due importance for a more equitable society.

Deste modo, objetivou-se analisar o ensino oferecido aos discentes dos cursos de enfermagem de instituições públicas brasileiras para o um melhor acolhimento ao público LGBTQIA+. Para isto, utilizou-se dados do Projeto Pedagógico de Curso (PPC) dos cursos de enfermagem de diversas instituições públicas brasileiras com intuito de verificar se existem disciplinas obrigatórias que abordam o tema. Foram selecionados e analisados 63 PPCs disponíveis onde constatou-se que apenas 9 (14,28%) cursos possuem a temática abordada de forma clara em disciplinas obrigatórias. Apreender sobre o cuidado à população LGBTQIA+, propicia um melhor acolhimento já que, em muitos casos ainda acontece a rejeição familiar, além do preconceito e da censura social que advém da sociedade. É importante ressaltar que dentre os achados positivos ainda existem fragilidades, como disciplinas que são totalmente teóricas e com isso ainda não preparam adequadamente o profissional para a assistência.
