Resumo: The research is part of the "Education, Culture, Society" line of research linked to the Group of Studies and Research in Anthropology and Sociology of Education - GEPASE/CNPq/UFMS, of the Postgraduate Program in Education, at the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul. The object of this dissertation is the cultural and social educational practices of the school institutions of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in the south of the former Mato Grosso, in the period from 1942 to 1961. The general objective is to identify and map the female school institutions of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians at national and regional level, in order to understand, in these practices, how the dispositions of the female gender habitus provided to girls from elite groups who studied at secondary school in the aforementioned school institutions were constituted. The period covered includes the expansion of the school institutions of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in the Brazilian school field. The date 1961 marks the creation of the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education (LDB), which was responsible for the reduction of humanistic disciplines, turning to a technicist curriculum. The following sources of research were used: school documents from the institutions of the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians, the school periodicals "Ecos Juvenis", journalistic sources on female education, and national and regional documents on secondary education, as well as the works of my friends and colleagues. The sources were analyzed using the theoretical contributions of Pierre Bourdieu and his interlocutors such as Carvalho (2004), Nogueira and Nogueira (2004), Gonçalves (2008), among others, and the categories of habitus, field, capital and gender habitus were mobilized. The results showed that secondary education marks the gender and class distinctions reproduced in school institutions in Brazil. Salesian women's institutions in Brazil were mapped, and two schools were identified in the south of the former Mato Grosso: school Imaculada Conceição/Corumbá and school Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora/Campo Grande. When we analyzed the systematic review (SR), we noticed that the Postgraduate Programs in Education at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (PPGEdu/UFMS) and the Federal University of Mato Grosso (PPGEdu/UFMT) stood out with more academic productions related to the Daughters of Mary Help of Christians in the Midwest region. We understand that educational, cultural and social practices, together with religious practices, structured a female gender habitus and engendered feminine dispositions such as virtuousness, politeness and religious conviction in young women from elite groups who studied at the aforementioned institutions in the south of the former Mato Grosso.

A presente dissertação tem como objeto as práticas educacionais culturais e sociais das instituições escolares das Filhas de Maria Auxiliadora no sul do antigo Mato Grosso, no período que corresponde aos anos de 1942 a 1961. O objetivo geral é identificar e mapear as instituições escolares femininas das Filhas de Maria Auxiliadora em âmbito nacional e regional, para compreender, nas referidas práticas, como se constituíram as disposições de habitus de gênero feminino proporcionadas às moças de grupos das elites que estudaram no ensino secundário nas instituições escolares supramencionadas. O período delimitado compreende a expansão das instituições escolares das Filhas de Maria Auxiliadora no campo escolar brasileiro. A data de 1961 marca a criação da Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação (LDB), que foi responsável pela diminuição das disciplinas humanísticas, voltando-se para um currículo tecnicista. Foram utilizadas as seguintes fontes de investigação: documentos escolares das instituições das Filhas de Maria Auxiliadora, os periódicos escolares “Ecos Juvenis”, as fontes jornalísticas sobre a educação feminina, e os documentos nacionais e regionais sobre o ensino secundário, além das obras memorialísticas “Auxiliadora 70 anos”, “Memória da cultura e da educação em Mato Grosso do Sul” e o “Profeta do Pantanal”. As fontes foram analisadas a partir dos aportes teóricos de Pierre Bourdieu e seus interlocutores como Carvalho (2004), Nogueira e Nogueira (2004), Gonçalves (2008), entre outros, e foram mobilizadas as categorias de habitus, campo, capital e habitus de gênero. Os resultados sinalizaram que o ensino secundário marca as distinções de gênero e de classe reproduzidas nas instituições escolares no Brasil. Foram mapeadas as instituições femininas salesianas no Brasil, e identificamos no sul do antigo Mato Grosso dois colégios, sendo estes: o Colégio Imaculada Conceição/Corumbá e o Colégio Nossa Senhora Auxiliadora/Campo Grande. Ao analisarmos a revisão sistemática (RS), notamos que os Programas de Pós- graduação em Educação da Universidade Federal do Mato Grosso do Sul (PPGEdu/UFMS) e da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso (PPGEdu/UFMT) destacaram-se com mais produções acadêmicas relacionadas às Filhas de Maria Auxiliadora na região Centro-Oeste. Compreendemos que as práticas educacionais, culturais e sociais junto às práticas religiosas estruturaram um habitus de gênero feminino e engendraram disposições femininas como virtuosidade, polidez e convicção religiosa nas jovens dos grupos das elites, que estudavam nas referidas instituições mencionadas, no sul do antigo Mato Grosso.Fundação Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do SulUFMSBrasil.1.Educação Feminina2.
