Resumo: Today's organizations have gradually employed an increasing number of women in the labor market, especially in leadership positions and prominent professions in the market. However, the presence of managerial mothers in the labor market is a constant in the contemporary environment and the way in which motherhood is reconciled with professional life can be one of the key points of female leadership. This article seeks to denote the challenges of motherhood in the labor market, with the general objective of discussing the challenges of women in reconciling motherhood and work, showing their evolution and achievements over time. The methodology applied for the development of the present work was developed from the qualitative method, subsidized by bibliographic research, in which repositories of academic archives such as Google Scholar, Scielo and CAPES platform were used. Thus, it can be concluded that women are burdened with some burdens to the detriment of their choices, whether for the reconciliation between motherhood and work, or in choosing professional life.

Entretanto, a presença de mães gestoras no mercado de trabalho é uma constante no ambiente contemporâneo e a forma como a maternidade é conciliada com a vida profissional pode ser um dos pontos-chave da liderança feminina. Este artigo procura denotar os desafios da maternidade no mercado de trabalho, com o objetivo geral de discorrer sobre os desafios das mulheres em conciliar maternidade e trabalho, mostrando a sua evolução e conquistas ao longo do tempo. A metodologia aplicada para o desenvolvimento do presente trabalho foi desenvolvida a partir do método qualitativo, subsidiado por pesquisa bibliográfica, em que se recorreu aos repositórios de arquivos acadêmicos como o Google Acadêmico, Scielo e plataforma CAPES.
