Resumo: The purpose of this study is to carry out a bibliographic survey in the periodical: Revista Brasileira de Ensino de Física. Through the survey, all articles published with the theme “History, Philosophy and Sociology of modern and contemporary Physics” between 1980 and 2020 were analyzed, with 1980 being the date the journal appeared. To do so, we used synthesis-type documentary research and found forty-two publications of scientific articles that were divided into areas common to the history, philosophy and sociology of physics. We analyzed the theoretical references, epistemological perspectives and modern and contemporary physics themes of each of the articles. The contributions of these studies to physics teaching were also analyzed, in which we detected that the majority of publications are theoretical essays on studies of historical episodes, biographies of scientists, epistemological and sociological analyzes of modern and contemporary physics themes. These data highlight a demand for further research into teaching practice with the themes of History, Philosophy and Sociology of modern and contemporary Physics at different levels of training.

Através do levantamento, foram analisados todos os artigos publicados com a temática “História, Filosofia e Sociologia da Física moderna e contemporânea” no intervalo de 1980 a 2020, sendo 1980 a data de surgimento do periódico. Para tanto, utilizamos a pesquisa documental do tipo síntese e encontramos quarenta e duas publicações de artigos científicos que foram divididos em áreas comuns à história, filosofia e sociologia da física. Analisamos os referenciais teóricos, as perspectivas epistemológicas e as temáticas de física moderna e contemporânea de cada um dos artigos. Foram também analisadas as contribuições desses estudos para o ensino de física em que detectamos que a maioria das publicações são de ensaio teórico de estudos de episódios históricos, biografias de cientistas, análises epistemológicas e sociológicas de temáticas da física moderna e contemporânea.
