IMPLANTAÇÃO DE HORTA NO SISTEMA AGROECOLÓGICO EM UM LOTE DO ASSENTAMENTO PAIOLZINHO, CORUMBÁ/MS

The conventional agricultural production system is derived from the Green Revolution technological package with a strong use of inputs and export production logic. The results of this conception involved, in Brazil, the destruction of a significant part of the Cerrado biome, the contamination of water storage and circulation bodies, the death of fauna and birds and intoxication/health problems in humans. Production on agroecological bases is an alternative to this system that is harmful to health. In addition to having lower production costs, it incorporates elements from the localities and does not use poisons in the production system. Changing the conception and productive logic is a major challenge and agroecology centers are the main drivers of this transformation in rural areas.The objective of this work is to discuss the results of induction for production on agroecological bases in batch one of the Agrarian Reform with a view to the transition from the conventional system to Agroecology. Action research was used to organize a vegetable garden on an agroecological basis, in common agreement with its owner, in the Paiolzinho settlement, in Corumbá/MS, on the border between Brazil and Bolivia. The results demonstrate that the peasant wants to continue with the production of vegetables from her plot with complete food security and with the disposal of her products being healthy and the option for the definitive exchange of the conventional system for production on agroecological bases has been achieved, which is idealized. After going through a transformation, we highlight the construction of knowledge in producing with the use of cultivar diversity, with the use of mulch, with the fight against pests, with the actions of repellent plants and the incorporation of intercropping between cultivars, as it maximizes production in a cultivation area. And these moments of production action led to great satisfaction for the peasant family. Keywords: Agroecology; organic production; technological showcase.
