Resumo: Organizations are made up of people who carry out their activities with the aim of satisfying their needs. Human beings are influenced by events internal or external to the work environment, which interferes with the development of organizations. Therefore, they are likely to suffer from changes and need to adapt to stay in the market. In this sense, organizational changes are fundamental for companies to be able to adapt and respond to the transformations that occur on a daily basis. From this perspective, this work aims to present theoretical aspects of organizational change and how it can contribute to the maintenance of organizations in the competitive market. For this, a narrative review of the literature was used as a methodology, with research in the Google Scholar and Capes Periódicos databases, between the years 2021 and 2023 using the descriptor: organizational change. As a result, the review of studies made it possible to understand that organizational change, when well structured, is a competitive strategy, which needs to overcome employee resistance with active communication and adequate management, being a fundamental factor for the maintenance of organizations. in the market.

O ser humano, é influenciado por acontecimentos internos ou externos ao ambiente laboral, o que interfere no desenvolvimento das organizações. Assim, eles estão propensos a sofrer com as mudanças e precisam se adequar para conseguirem permanecer no mercado. Neste sentido, as mudanças organizacionais são fundamentais para que as empresas consigam se adaptar e responder às transformações que ocorrem no dia a dia. Sob essa perspectiva, este trabalho tem como por objetivo apresentar aspectos teóricos da mudança organizacional e como ela pode contribuir para a manutenção das organizações no mercado competitivo. Para isso, utilizou-se como metodologia uma revisão narrativa da literatura, com pesquisa nas bases de dados Google Acadêmico e Capes Periódicos, entre os anos de 2021 e 2023 por meio do descritor: mudança organizacional.
