Resumo: Chemistry is a science in constant transformation and its concepts also change with time, but everything we know today has a story, so why not use it as help in explanation of content in high school classes. This work has the aim to understand how the history of chemistry can be used in high school Chemistry classes, the information was acquired by bibliographic and research along to teachers through a focus group. In addition to bringing a proposal for a didactic sequence to contribute in teaching chemistry. In this study it was possible to notice that the history of chemistry is a great tool to enhance the learning of students in addition to providing scientific knowledge, the information collected with the teachers served as motivation for construction of didactic sequence, because you can't just raise a problem we need to help solve it.

E este trabalho tem o objetivo principal compreender como a História da Química pode ser utilizada nas aulas de Química do Ensino Médio. As informações foram adquiridas por pesquisas bibliográficas e juntamente aos professores através de um grupo focal, além de trazer uma proposta de sequência didática para contribuir no ensino de Química. Na realização deste trabalho foi possível perceber que a história da Química é uma ótima ferramenta para aprimorar o aprendizado dos alunos além de fornecer conhecimento científico.
