Resumo: Potassium (K) deficiency has a direct impact on the productive performance of soybean (Glycine max), one of the most important crops in Brazil, due to its great versatility, being used from animal feed to the production of biofuels. With the great demand for soybeans, it is necessary to increase production in an increasingly smaller area. Where the supply of nutrients becomes essential to meet the demand of the crop, in order to achieve high production. K is one of the most used fertilizers, as it is one of the most needed by the plant, behind Nitrogen. The lack of this nutrient influences the vegetative and reproductive growth, impairing the formation of pods and grains. With the high price of fertilizers, the producer seeks more viable, economical alternatives, always aiming at greater production with lower expenses. The objective was to evaluate the impact on productivity, PMG, total corrected weight and moisture. The form of evaluation was given by two treatments, with the application of K2O and without the application of K2O, whereas fertilized installments, I received 139kg/ha of K2O. The K source used was KCl, which is the most used source in agriculture, as it has higher concentrations of K. The application was carried out by broadcast and the phenological stage of the plant at the time of application was R1. Each treatment had twelve repetitions of 2.25m X 5m with an area of 11.25m2 per repetition, with a total area of 270m2 for the experiment, divided into three blocks. Within each repetition, an area of 0.9m X 4m with 3.6m2 was harvested. The variables: productivity, PMG, total verified weight and humidity, were observed in the analysis of variance by the F test and the averages detected by the Tukey test at 5% probability with the SISVAR software. It was verified that through the analysis of variance, it was verified that the potassium fertilization applied only in R1 is not capable of expressing productive gains.
