Avaliação nutricional de idosos frequentadores de um centro de convivência, no município de Cuiabá-MT

People at elderly is a population segment with specific characteristics related to the nutritional state , ingestion of foods and response to nutricional therapy. The maintenance of a nutricional state adapted in this populatio , it is a strenuous task, in front of the chronic diseases, the association of medicines and to the physiologic modifications, which interfere in the appetite, the consumption and absorption of the nutrients.The goal of this study was to value the nutricional state of a group of old regular visitors of a center of municipal familiarity, located in Cuiabá-MT. The old ones were submitted to the nutricional evaluation :antropometriacomposed by weight and height for physical mass, circumference of the waist to check risks of metabolic complications and application of a questionnaire of frequency of food consumption. The descriptive analyses were carried out with the intention of checking the distribution of the main variables and characterizing the population of study. The continuous variables were described by average and detour-standard and the categorical variables like proportion (%).Variables were tabulated in Microsft Office Excel and analysed through Statistical Package Social Sciences Program (SPSS), version 19.0. For comparisons, correlation of Spearman was done between IMC and CC. The qui-square tests were done considering two endings (with and without excess weight for the IMC and the level of metabolic risk [not marked, marked, mark elevated ). The analysis of the anthropometric data showed excess weight (60 %) and abdominal adiposity with very elevated risk of metabolic complications (86 %). The average found for the IMC was of 29,43Kg / m ² and for the CC it was of 97,70 cm.Dietetic analysis showed that foods most consumed daily characterize well the food habit of the interviewed old ones and are quite characteristic of the food consumption of the Brazilian population.
