Análise bibliométrica na utilização da metodologia estudo de eventos nos periódicos nacionais (2010-2022)

The present work had the general objective of carrying out a bibliometric mapping on the methodology of studying events in national journals in the period 2010-2022. The evolution of the number of articles published was analyzed; the productivity and profile of journals and authors; the frequency of keywords and the topics addressed. The methodology adopted is characterized as exploratory-descriptive, typical of bibliometric analysis, using techniques of bibliographical and documental research. For data collection, the Spell, Sucupira and Lattes platforms were used. The results showed that the scientific production on the study of events methodology, in the analyzed period, remained stable, as attested by the statistical metrics: mean 6.54, mode 6 and median 6. Bradford's law was also confirmed, as approximately one third of the journals concentrate more than half of the publications on the subject. It is concluded that the present work provided contributions to those who intend to apply bibliometric analysis in their research, specifically in the accounting area. As a suggestion for future work, bibliometric studies of scientific production on information quality, management, accounting theory, public accounting, managerial accounting, among others, are suggested.
