Resumo: The indication of substrates to produce forestry native species is somewhat limited. The aim of this study was to use as a substrate for growing Dipteryx odorata, known as coconut's fiber's powder (CFP), and carbonized rice husk (CRH), pure or mixed, in different concentrations, trying to identify which of the different situations is more favorable for germination. The experiment was conducted at the hotbed's greenhouse of Federal University of Mato Grosso at the Campus of Sinop - MT. The experimental design was completely randomized, with three replicates per treatment, where each plot consisted of five individuals. The coconut's fiber's powder was obtained by artisanal production in own hotbed of the University, and the carbonized rice husk was provided by a company in the forestry industry. The following combinations were evaluated: 100% CRH; 100% CFP; CFP 50% and 50% CRH; CFP 75% and 25% of CRH; CFP 25% and 75% of CRH, and subsoil in forty-five days. The collected data were submitted to analysis of variance and means were compared using the mean comparison test (Tukey test), at 5% significance level. The germination began ten days after planting the average germination percentage was 29%. The combination consisting of 75% of powder of coconut fiber plus 25% carbonized rice husk and the use of only subsoil's land, provided a good water retention and higher percentages of cumaru seed germination.

O objetivo deste trabalho foi utilizar como substrato, para o cultivo de Dipteryx odorata, o pó de fibra de coco (PFC) e a casca de arroz carbonizada (CAC) puros ou em mistura, em diferentes concentrações, buscando identificar qual das diferentes situações é mais favorável à germinação. O experimento foi conduzido na casa de vegetação do viveiro da Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso, Campus de Sinop – MT. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente ao acaso, tendo três repetições por tratamento, no qual cada parcela era constituída por cinco sementes. Foi avaliada a germinação do cumaru nas combinações: 100% CAC; 100% PFC; 50% PFC e 50% CAC; 75% PFC e 25% de CAC; 25% PFC e 75% de CAC, e Terra de subsolo, por quarenta e cinco dias. Os dados colhidos foram submetidos à análise de variância e as médias comparadas por meio do teste de Tukey, no nível de 5% de significância. A germinação teve início com dez dias após o plantio e a porcentagem média de germinação foi de 29%.
