Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) and its treatment are responsible for changes in the nutritional status of the patients, which can be evaluated using Malnutrition Inflammation Score (MIS) capable of identifying nutritional risk (RN). Objective: To analyze the prevalence and factors associated with high RN of CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis (HD) at two clinics in Cuiabá / MT. Methodology: A cross-sectional study with 110 individuals aged ≥ 20 years. The outcome variable is MIS (Low RN <6 points; High RN ≥ 6 points). The independent variables are socioeconomic, demographic, clinical, health related behaviors and EN evaluation. A bivariate analysis was performed using the Pearson chi-square test and adjusted and adjusted binary logistic regression. It was considered significant p <0.05. Data were analyzed using SPSS 22.0 software. Results: Higher frequency of individuals was observed in the category of higher RN according to MIS (66.36%). In the bivariate analysis, dialysis time ≥ 4 years were associated with the MIS of high RN; urinary volume / 24h <500mL; hyperpotassemia; hyperphosphatemia; smoking; not practicing physical exercise; have high waist circumference; low calf circumference; and APMT measures. In the adjusted multiple analysis, dialysis time (p = 0.02) and physical exercise (p = 0.04) were associated with MIS of high RN. Conclusion: The prevalence of patients with high RN was elevated, and sedentary patients with longer hemodialysis treatment presented higher RN according to the MIS, and should be observed more closely by health professionals working in the HD clinics, in order to prevent potential complications and changes in the EN.
