Perfil clínico-epidemiológico dos pacientes atendidos na carreta da saúde em um município da região da Amazônia Legal

OBJECTIVE: To outline the profile of patients treated at Carreta da Saúde in a municipality in the Legal Amazon region. METHODS: A retrospective and descriptive study was carried out, in which the medical records of 735 patients, seen in the “Roda-Hans - Carreta da Saúde” Project on September 13 and 14, 2018, were reviewed. RESULTS: Patients treated by the Hans cart were evaluated on the following variables: sex, education, monthly income, age. There was a predominance of 413 people (56.19%) female and 332 people (43.8%) male. Among the variables, education, income and age had a higher number in relation to education, 350 people (47.61%) with incomplete elementary education, monthly income was a minimum wage 357 (48.57%) people. The age group between 41 to 50 years old was 187 (35%) people. Regarding the origin of the people served, it was found that 275 (37.41%) are from the state of Mato Grosso followed by the state of Paraná (26.39%) and the majority 724 (98.5) are residents of the Municipality of Sinop . Regarding the clinical aspects of leprosy, a large number of individuals were found for reassessment in 6 months 557 (75.7%) and 464 (63.1%) live with family and friends undergoing treatment and 230 (31.2%) reside in the same house. The patients who were diagnosed with leprosy were 178 (24.7%). CONCLUSION: More regional research must be carried out to understand the factors that contribute to the maintenance of the endemic disease in the studied region. Epidemiological surveillance actions should be intensified for the diagnosis and early treatment of leprosy in the region.
