Resumo: Co-production in indigenous communities contributes to the maintenance of life and to the production of the knowledge of the ancestral peoples. The objective of this article is to analyze the process of co-production of activities for teaching the numbering system of Apalai language. The process of co-production claims the engagement of the indigenous teachers and the teacher-researcher in the actualization of sociocultural mathematical knowing. This process is conceptualized as joint labor. To answer the question: "What are the contributions of co-production of activities for teaching the numbering system in the initial training of indigenous women teachers of the Apalai Waiana ethnicity? A study was conducted on the concept of joint labor in Objectification Theory, to establish a dialogue between this concept and the initial training of indigenous teachers. The analysis is centered on field research developed with indigenous female teachers in an Intercultural Indigenous Licentiate course. The results indicated that the interaction between the co-producers contributed to the encounter with the sociocultural mathematical knowledge of the Apalai Waiana people, and that in the co-production signs and artifacts related to linguistic and sociocultural aspects were mobilized. We conclude with the argument that the joint labor contributed to the initial formation of the indigenous co-producing teachers of the activity, to the extent that they became aware of different forms of knowledge developed historically and culturally and began to intend them to produce knowledge related to the number system in the Apalai language.
