Resumo: | Teaching about the photoelectric effect in high schools is often overlooked because it is part of the third-year syllabus from the discipline of physics. With the need for students to follow the technological advances present in daily life, particularly developed from the use of photocells, the work aims to report the didactic experience using the three pedagogical moments on this topic with students Federal Institute of Acre in Xapuri, a city in the interior of the state. The study of the photoelectric effect and its usefulness observed in the day-to-day, such as doors activation, taps, street lighting, and other applications were problematized. As result, it was highlighted that it was possible to verify the participation, enthusiasm, and involvement of the students in the discussions on the subject addressed, as well as a critical reflection among students about some problems experienced in the city itself. |

La enseñanza sobre el efecto fotoeléctrico en las escuelas secundarias a menudo se descuida, generalmente porque es parte del menú del último año de la disciplina de la física. Con la necesidad de que los estudiantes acompañen los avances tecnológicos presentes en la vida cotidiana, en particular desarrollados a partir del uso de fotocélulas, el trabajo tiene como objetivo relatar la experiencia didáctica utilizando los tres momentos pedagógicos sobre este tema con estudiantes Instituto Federal do Acre en Xapuri, ciudad del interior del estado. Se problematizó el estudio del efecto fotoeléctrico y su utilidad observada en la vida cotidiana, como activación de puertas, grifos, alumbrado público y otras aplicaciones. Como resultado, se destaca que fue posible verificar la participación, entusiasmo e involucramiento de los estudiantes en las discusiones sobre el tema abordado, así como una reflexión crítica entre los estudiantes sobre algunas problemáticas vividas en la propia ciudad.O ensino sobre o efeito fotoelétrico nas escolas de Ensino Médio, muitas vezes, é negligenciado, geralmente, por fazer parte da ementa do último ano da disciplina de Física. Com a necessidade de os alunos acompanharem os avanços tecnológicos presentes no cotidiano, em particular, desenvolvidos a partir do uso de fotocélulas, o trabalho tem como objetivo relatar a experiência didática sobre esse tema utilizando os Três Momentos Pedagógicos, realizada com estudantes do Instituto Federal do Acre em Xapuri, cidade do interior do estado. O estudo do efeito fotoelétrico e sua utilidade observada no dia a dia, como acionamento de portas, torneiras, iluminação pública e demais aplicações foram problematizados.
