Sensations allow us to form ideas, understand behaviors, and understand the world. In this sense, the five senses (hearing, touch, taste, smell, and sight) serve as a gateway to knowledge, and when these are stimulated, the learning process can be facilitated, and there is openness to the use of new resources for teaching. In this way, the objective of this writing is to carry out a systematic literature review of articles that address the use of the five senses in science teaching that generate meaningful learning and that explain the contributions to Science teaching. It is exploratory research, of a basic nature and with qualitative data analysis. The results suggest that it is incre0asingly necessary to develop research on the importance of the five senses for science teaching. This research is important because it opens new possibilities to facilitate the teaching of science, as it suggests new methods for teaching it.
