Advances in science and technology have changed considerably in the way people live and relate. Thus, it is necessary to incorporate in teaching practice, methods that meet this new profile. The smartphone is a technology that adds several technological resources. This work created a didactic teaching sequence, using the smartphone as a methodological tool for teaching biology. A research was carried out with students of the 1st year of High School in the public school in the city of Sorriso, MT and investigated the economic resources used in the didactic sequence, analyzing the performance of the students who study the theme Ecology, which are the teaching objectives to seek contribute to the training of students. The apprentices' performance tests were statistically evaluated using the paired t-Student test (5% significance). The results are displayed and the gains in general learning are double the initial value.
