MAPPING OF STATISTICAL QUESTIONS FOUND IN THE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL EXAMINATION

The present study presents a mapping of all the questions-problems of the National Secondary Education Examination (ENEM), from the period 2009 to 2021, which involve statistics, seeking to highlight the frequency with which statistical knowledge appears in the areas of knowledge that make up the exam, namely: the Human Sciences and their Technologies; the Natural Sciences and their Technologies and Mathematics and their Technologies. The methodology adopted in this research has a documentary approach and the data collected were treated quantitatively, using statistical techniques to analyze the results obtained. In this study, emphasis was given to questions with graphs and tables that, directly or indirectly, require statistical knowledge for their resolution, as well as to texts that motivate written production (writing). Based on the observed results, it is concluded that statistics permeates the entire ENEM, being present mainly in the writing task and in the areas of Natural Sciences, Human Sciences and Mathematics. It is believed that this research reveals the importance of statistical education in Basic Education, since its knowledge permeates all areas of knowledge and provides important information about various phenomena in society.
