ETHNOKNOWLEDGE AND SCIENCE TEACHING: RESEARCH WITHIN LEGAL AMAZON FROM 2014 TO 2021

Resumo: Brazilian Amazon is rich in biodiversity and culture. The aim of this study was to verify the occurrence, incidence and methodological trends in theses and dissertations on ethno-knowledge in science teaching which were published between 2014 and 2021 within the Legal Amazon. It is a bibliographic study, with a state-of-the-knowledge approach, in which data was searched in archives of public postgraduate institutions located in the nine states that make up the region under investigation. Results showed that 18 surveys had been carried out, with only five States responsible for production, with Amazonas and Mato Grosso having the most publications. The main participants investigated were teachers, and Elementary School II was the level most frequently presented. Regarding the type of procedure, field research has stood out. Different teaching methods were identified, and field lessons, experiments and use of videos were the most used. The conclusion is that research with different methodologies involving ethno-knowledge in science teaching has been conducted in the Brazilian Legal Amazon, but it is necessary for all States of this region to be concerned with carrying out and encouraging more research, by each of their postgraduate courses, also applied to schools in urban areas and with teachers in initial training.

El objetivo de este estudio fue verificar la ocurrencia, incidencia y tendencias metodológicas en tesis y disertaciones sobre Etno-conocimiento en la enseñanza de las ciencias, producidas entre 2014 y 2021 en la Amazonia Legal. Se trata de un estudio bibliográfico, del tipo estado del conocimiento, donde la búsqueda de datos tuvo lugar en los repositorios de instituciones públicas de posgrado de los nueve estados que componen la región investigada. Los resultados mostraron la realización de 18 estudios, siendo sólo cinco estados responsables por la producción, siendo Amazonas y Mato Grosso los que más publicaron. Los profesores fueron los participantes más investigados y la enseñanza primaria el nivel más común. En cuanto al tipo de procedimiento, se destacó la investigación de campo. Se identificaron diferentes métodos de enseñanza, siendo las clases de campo, los experimentos y el uso de videos los más utilizados. Se puede concluir que existen investigaciones con diferentes metodologías que involucran el etnoconocimiento en la enseñanza de las ciencias dentro de la Amazonia Legal, pero es necesario que todos los estados de esta región se preocupen por realizar e incentivar más investigaciones, por cada curso de posgrado, aplicadas también a escuelas de áreas urbanas y con profesores en formación inicial.A Região Amazônica brasileira é rica em biodiversidade e cultura dos seus povos. O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar a ocorrência, incidência e tendências metodológicas em teses e dissertações sobre Etnoconhecimento no ensino de Ciências, produzidas entre 2014 e 2021 na Amazônia Legal. É um estudo bibliográfico, do tipo estado do conhecimento, onde a busca dos dados se deu nos repositórios das instituições públicas de pós-graduação dos nove estados que compõem a região investigada. Os resultados mostraram 18 pesquisas realizadas, com somente cinco estados responsáveis pela produção, sendo o Amazonas e o Mato Grosso os com mais publicações. Os professores foram os participantes mais investigados e o Ensino Fundamental II foi o nível mais apresentado. Sobre o tipo de procedimento, a pesquisa de campo se destacou. Diferentes métodos didáticos foram identificados, sendo a aula de campo, os experimentos e o uso de vídeos os mais empregados.
