A common mistake found in students, especially those who are knowing the whole numbers, is the lack of attention and/or even a confusion regarding the signs that precede the numbers. In this perspective, this work proposes, through the Sequence of Investigative Teaching (SEI), to give meaning to what students learn at school, not only aiming at the grade par excellence, but a significant learning as to the importance of whole numbers in certain everyday situations. Thus, it is possible to contribute to a more dynamic and profitable teaching-learning of mathematics, making use of technologies, such as applications directed to the content addressed, favoring the enthusiasm of students with the discipline, making it light and fun to study. The proposal brought to the students of the 7th grade of elementary school of a public school in the municipality of Marcelino Vieira /RN works operations with whole numbers through the use of the Number Line and PhET applications, in addition to computer simulations, with the intention of leaving theoretical and practical contributions with an innovative experiment, showing satisfactory results,  both for the researcher and for the students, in relation to the beginning of the research for the end.
