THE HEALTH-DISEASE CONCEPT IN THE EARLY YEARS OF PRIMARY EDUCATION: A HISTORICAL APPROACH

Resumo: This article aimed at analyzing the health/disease concept within the Early Years of Primary Education. It was developed from a bibliographic and documentary study, which sought to reconstruct its historicity, from a theoretical perspective based on reference documents and literature on the subject in question, with emphasis on the final version of the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and the National Curriculum Parameters (PCN) in parallel to the theoretical discussions on this subject. It is noted that the health/disease concepts were gradually modified due to the health issues of each time, considering the needs of society. The BNCC, when dealing with Natural Sciences teaching, shows a broad understanding of health/disease, considering it beyond the state of equilibrium of the body as an individual and collective good, making it possible to reflect on what is necessary to promote individual and collective health. The results show a small change has been made in how health education is treated and highlights the importance of discussing this subject for promoting health in a contextualized manner.

Foi desenvolvido a partir de um estudo bibliográfico e documental em que se buscou reconstruir a historicidade do tema, numa perspectiva teórica a partir de documentos de referência e literaturas da temática em questão, com ênfase na versão final da Base Nacional Comum Curricular (BNCC) e nos Parâmetros Nacionais Curriculares (PCN) em paralelo às discussões teóricas que tratam desse assunto. Nota-se que as concepções de saúde-doença foram sendo modificadas em decorrência das questões de saúde de sua época, considerando as necessidades da sociedade. A BNCC, quanto trata do ensino de Ciências Naturais, apresenta uma compreensão de saúde-doença de forma ampliada, considerando-a além do estado de equilíbrio do corpo como um bem individual e coletivo, sendo possível refletir o que é preciso para promover a saúde individual e coletiva.
