A gestão do processo de propriedade intelectual em uma instituição de ciência e tecnologia : uma análise para o IFMT

It is important for the IFMT researcher to register his invention or creation as a Patent, Trademark, Computer Program and Industrial Design, but the researcher may be faced with a legal technical-scientific language, whose content and nomenclatures are beyond his knowledge. If the researcher does not register his creation and another one registers it, he is prevented from using and marketing his product. The objective of this research was to develop a procedure manual for filing patents or registering a trademark, computer program or industrial design in simple and intelligible language for a layman in law, that is, so that the IFMT researcher can register his inventions and creations with the INPI through the Innovation Agency. First, a literature review on Intellectual Property and process mapping was carried out. In this way it was possible to know the doubts involved in the registration process. Then, a process mapping was developed using the business process management (BPM) methodology and a manual of patent filing procedures, trademark registration, computer program and industrial design with flow chart for patent registration was developed. For this, a bibliographic review was used and also used aspects related to the doubts obtained through dialogue with IFMT researchers. For validation, the information survey technique was used, with an informal interview, with the objective of collecting data. The interviews were conducted through meetings with experts in mapping and process modeling and servers that make up the Innovation Agency. With the results of the research, the manual of procedures for registering the inventions and creations of the IFMT was developed.
