Resumo: The general objective of this research is to investigate the perception of law school professors from Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of Santa Maria / RS on the influence of hermeneutic disciplines on the formation and performance of jurists. As specific objectives, it is intended: a) epistemologically delimit the context of contemporary Brazilian legal education; b) to examine the Curriculum Guidelines for Law Courses and Pedagogical Projects (Curriculum Matrix) of four Law Courses of Santa Maria - RS (1 public and 3 private), to verify the space destined to hermeneutic disciplines in the legal formation; c) apply as a data collection instrument a questionnaire to understand the impacts of the hermeneutic disciplines on legal education in the perception of eight (08) law school teachers working in 04 (four) different HEI in Santa Maria / RS; d) confront the study of epistemological and educational documents and foundations, with the data provided through the collection, analysis and discussion of data from the questionnaires answered by the professors of law courses participating in the research, about the reflexes of the hermeneutic disciplines in the legal education to the formation and professional performance of the jurist The research is configured as a qualitative approach, based on a case study, whose descriptive and exploratory strategy consists in investigating the influence of humanistic disciplines in legal education, from the perception of law school teachers from Santa Maria Higher Education Institutions/ RS through the use of a questionnaire as a research instrument. The research corpus will be composed, in addition to the data collected through the applied questionnaire, also by the Pedagogical projects of the 4 (four) law courses of the Santa Maria / RS HEI. For data analysis and interpretation, content analysis will be adopted, aiming to evaluate and relate the results of the research instruments (questionnaires) with the remarkable understanding of the authors surveyed through the theoretical framework examined on the subject in question. Finally, the study aims to promote the necessary reflection of the current conjuncture of legal education, which is surrounded by challenges of various orders, which are worthy of further study. In this context, the hermeneutic science is alluded to as a possibility to unleash the currents of rationalism and exegetical / normativist positivism that has strongly imposed itself on legal education, envisaging hermeneutics as a transformative practice in legal education.

Como objetivos específicos, pretende-se: a) delimitar epistemologicamente, o contexto do ensino jurídico brasileiro contemporâneo; b) examinar a matriz curricular de quatro Cursos de Direito de Santa Maria – RS (1 público e 3 privados), para verificar o espaço destinado às disciplinas de cunho hermenêutico na formação jurídica; c) aplicar como instrumento de coleta de dados um questionário para compreender os impactos das disciplinas de cunho hermenêutico no ensino jurídico na percepção de oito (08) docentes de cursos de Direito atuantes em 04 (quatro) diferentes IES de Santa Maria/RS; d) confrontar o estudo dos documentos e fundamentos epistemológicos e educativos, com os dados fornecidos por meio da coleta, análise e discussão de dados dos questionários respondidos pelos docentes de cursos de Direito participantes da pesquisa, sobre os reflexos das disciplinas de cunho hermenêutico no ensino jurídico para a formação e atuação profissional do jurista. A pesquisa se configura como de abordagem qualitativa, baseada em estudo de caso, cuja estratégia descritiva e exploratória consiste na investigação da influência das disciplinas humanísticas no ensino jurídico, a partir da percepção de docentes de cursos de Direito de Instituições de Ensino Superior de Santa Maria/RS por meio da utilização de um questionário como instrumento de pesquisa. O corpus da pesquisa é composto, além dos dados colhidos por meio do questionário aplicado, também pelas matrizes curriculares dos 4 (quatro) cursos de Direito das IES de Santa Maria/RS. Para a análise e interpretação dos dados, será adotada a análise de conteúdo, visando avaliar e relacionar os resultados dos instrumentos de pesquisa (questionários) com o notável entendimento dos autores pesquisados por meio do referencial teórico examinado sobre o tema em questão. Por fim, o estudo se propõe a promover a necessária reflexão da atual conjuntura da educação jurídica, que se encontra envolvida por desafios de diversas ordens, os quais são merecedores de aprofundamento.
