Resumo: The formation of the Military School System of Brazil, in the different Brazilian regions, and its formation process in the city of Santa Maria, RS, has relevance in the history of Brazil and is significant for Brazilian society, both military and civil, by the constant education and quality education. The study objective is analyze the different teaching profiles and their impact on teaching practices and humanities teaching at the Military College of Santa Maria - RS. It also search to reflect on teaching in a school environment in the current context, demonstrating the transformations, instabilities and new demands necessary for teachers to act before the new educational paradigm. In addition, the importance of teaching humanities to maintain fundamental values for society was highlighted, and finally mapped the distribution of the various teaching profiles within the Military College of Santa Maria-RS. The research is a case study, based on the qualitative-quantitative method and hermeneutics. The research techniques were based in the questionnaire and in the interview for the collection of data of teaching practices in the disciplines of humanities researched (Philosophy, Geography, History, Sociology). Initially, a historical review of the formation process of the Brazilian Military School System was carried out, with the purpose of presenting its origins, scenarios of creation / location of the various Military Schools, purposes and objectives of the Brazilian Army in creating and maintaining educational institutions basic. The process of formation of the Military College of Santa Maria was described, and the theoretical support based on the bibliographical revision on teaching, humanities teaching and teacher training was presented. The sample consisted of ten (10) professors of humanities from the Military School of Santa Maria. Data collection was conducted in 2018, with the application of a questionnaire and interview, in order to identify and analyze teachers' visions and expectations about teaching practices, as well as to obtain sociocultural data that allowed describing the different characteristics of the different teaching profiles. The results showed that the teaching of humanities is valued within the Teaching Division, that there is a general concern with the quality of teaching, there is respect for the teaching autonomy and that the teaching profiles have different formative trajectories, experiences and visions , however, being in line with the pedagogical proposal of the School. It is concluded that the different teaching profiles are an important characteristic inherent to Military Schools and should be used within the school as a means for training and enrichment of teaching. Therefore, it is suggested that the results obtained should support school management, as well as a reference for teachers about the situation of the humanities in the Santa Maria-RS Military School.

O presente estudo teve o objetivo de analisar os diferentes perfis docentes e seus impactos nas práticas docentes e no ensino de humanidades no Colégio Militar de Santa Maria-RS. Buscou, também, refletir sobre o ensino em ambiente escolar no contexto atual, demonstrando as transformações, as instabilidades e as novas demandas necessárias aos docentes para atuarem diante do novo paradigma educacional. Ainda, houve o destaque à importância do ensino de humanidades para a manutenção de valores fundamentais para a sociedade e, por fim, mapeou a distribuição dos diversos perfis docentes dentro do Colégio Militar de Santa Maria-RS. A pesquisa realizada é um estudo de caso, embasado no método quali-quantitativo e na hermenêutica. As técnicas de pesquisa foram ancoradas no questionário e na entrevista para a coleta de dados das práticas docentes nas disciplinas de humanidades pesquisadas (Filosofia, Geografia, História, Sociologia). Inicialmente foi realizado um resgaste histórico do processo de formação do Sistema Colégio Militar do Brasil, com o intuito de apresentar sua origem, cenários de criação/localização dos diversos Colégios Militares, finalidades e objetivos do Exército Brasileiro ao criar e manter instituições de ensino de educação básica. Na sequência, descreveu-se o processo de formação do Colégio Militar de Santa Maria e, foi exposto, o suporte teórico fundamentado na revisão bibliográfica acerca do ensino, ensino de humanidades e formação docente. A amostra foi composta por dez (10) professores de humanidades do Colégio Militar de Santa Maria. A coleta de dados foi efetuada no ano de 2018, com a aplicação de questionário e entrevista, a fim de identificar e analisar as visões e expectativas dos professores sobre o ensino e as práticas docentes, além de obter dados socioculturais que permitiram descrever as diferentes características dos diversos perfis docentes Os resultados obtidos apontaram que o ensino de humanidades é valorizado dentro da Divisão de Ensino, que existe uma preocupação geral com a qualidade do ensino, há respeito à autonomia docente e que os perfis docentes possuem trajetórias formativas, vivências e visões distintas, porém, estando alinhados à proposta pedagógica da Escola. Conclui-se que, os diferentes perfis docentes, são uma característica importante, inerente aos Colégios Militares e deve ser aproveitada dentro do espaço escolar como meio para formação e enriquecimento do ensino.
