Bacon between mirrors: : the image in enjoyment in art

Resumo: | Knowing that the work of Art can teach to Psychoanalysis in what way the Unconscious today refers to the body, we can use it as a clinical real strand to work the question of the distorted image of the body in the era of new symptoms. Lacan introduced the Real as the dimension that allows to have together the three instances of the Borromean knot, Real, Symbolic and Imaginary. We chose as the guide of this study an artist who reinvents the body through the destruction of the ideal body image, Francis Bacon, which seems to understand the condition of the contemporary subject, for whom the crisis of the symbolic Other makes it problematic to mediate, in a humanized and particular way, the relation between enjoyment and the images that he experiences in his own body. The weakening of symbolic mediation continually short circuits in the body the specular network of the Imaginary and the libidinal Real of the drive, which appears in Bacon's paintings in the form of a distortion. |

Sabendo que a obra de Arte pode ensinar à Psicanálise de que maneira o Inconsciente hoje se refere ao corpo, podemos usá-la como vertente do Real clínico para trabalhar a questão da imagem distorcida do corpo na era dos novos sintomas. Lacan introduziu o Real como a dimensão que permite ter juntas as três instâncias do nó borromeu, Real, Simbólico e Imaginário. Escolhemos como guia deste estudo um artista que reinventa o corpo por meio da destruição da imagem ideal do corpo, Francis Bacon, que parece entender a condição do sujeito contemporâneo, para o qual a crise do Outro simbólico torna problemático mediar, de modo humanizado e particular, a relação entre o gozo e as imagens que experimenta no próprio corpo. O enfraquecimento da mediação simbólica faz curtocircuitar continuamente no corpo a rede especular do Imaginário e o Real libidinal da pulsão, o que aparece na pintura de Bacon sob a forma de uma distorção.
