Resumo: | The article aims to explore the dialogue between Vilém Flusser's media theory and Rodrigo Duarte's modes of presence in contemporary aesthetics phenomena. Based on this comparison, it is possible to note a phenomenological parallel and an ontological dislocation. While Flusser is interested in an ontological draft, Duarte claims an exhaustive comprehension of the aesthetics aspects of arts, mainly about the nature of media. As a background thesis, this paper proposes an ontological reading of Flusser's work, a perspective that gains more relevance in consequence of philosophy's renewed interest in ontological questions. |

Ao examinar os termos da aproximação e do afastamento das duas propostas, constata-se um paralelismo no que concerne à dimensão fenomenológica e um descolamento no que diz respeito à dimensão ontológica. Enquanto Flusser recua ao esboçar uma ontologia, Duarte avança em uma tentativa de compreensão exaustiva dos aspectos propriamente estéticos que perpassam o campo das artes, sobretudo no que diz respeito à natureza dos media.
