Mitre and the building of an Argentinean historiographic heritage

Resumo: This article analyses the historical work of Bartolomé Mitre from Argentina on the second half of XX century. This study presents controversial issues about his writting way of History, the erudite rigour, the documentary collection composition and some themes enunciated on his most important works, such as Historia de Belgrano y de La independencia argentina (1887) and Historia de San Martin y de La emacipación sudamericana (1888). In this process there is na aim for broaching the relations between Politics and History, as well the reasons which justify his presence in the centre of the Argertinean historiographic debate, his contradictions and paradoxes which he made statements, additionally his condition of a particular person who belongs to Platine historiographic culture.

São apresentadas as polêmicas em torno da escrita da História, o debate em torno do rigor erudito, a composição do acervo documental e alguns temas enunciados em suas obras principais, a Historia de Belgrano y de la independencia argentina (1887) e a Historia de San Martin y de la emancipación sudamericana (1888).
