Using digital portfolios in initial teacher training as a learning and assessment strategy: students' perspectives

Resumo: In this article we present the results of a study developed in initial teacher training on the use of digital portfolios as a learning and assessment strategy. In the study, with characteristics of an interpretative case study, we interviewed students who had experiences of using digital portfolios at different moments of their academic life, in order to understand the relationship between these experiences, the learning process and the assessment. The results show the positive contributions of the digital portfolio to the students' learning and assessment, as well as the main difficulties they revealed.

En el estudio, con características de estudio de caso interpretativo, entrevistamos a estudiantes que tuvieron experiencias de uso de portafolios digitales en diferentes momentos de su vida académica, con el fin de comprender la relación entre estas experiencias, el proceso de aprendizaje y la evaluación. Los resultados muestran las contribuciones positivas del portafolio digital al aprendizaje y a la evaluación de los estudiantes, así como las principales dificultades que revelaron.Neste artigo apresentamos os resultados de um estudo desenvolvido na formação inicial de professores sobre a utilização de portefólios digitais como estratégia de aprendizagem e avaliação. No estudo, com características de estudo de caso interpretativo, foram entrevistadas estudantes que vivenciaram experiências de utilização de portefólios digitais em diferentes momentos da sua vida acadêmica, onde se pretendeu perceber a relação entre estas experiências, o processo de aprendizagem e a avaliação.
