Resumo: The realization of scientific literacy becomes increasingly far from being achieved during the time of the Pandemic, students and teachers experience an atypical context and with different restrictions. Difficulties found in the teaching and learning process can lead to demotivation of those involved. From this perspective, it is necessary to use different strategies so that the student feels motivated in the process of appropriating culturally established knowledge, in addition to strengthening their interpersonal relationships, the feeling of competence and autonomy. Thus, the objective of this article is to analyze the impact of an exclusively remote Science Club as a motivating strategy for the formation of students in the areas of Science. The Basic Psychological Needs (BPN) and Self-Determination theory of Deci and Ryan was used, which deals with the regulation of motivation through the BPN of autonomy, competence and belonging. The research methodology took place in a hybrid way, with a qualitative and quantitative instrument. As a result, it was observed that the exclusively remote Science Club nurtured the motivation of the students involved. However, internet access was a hindrance. Thus, it is concluded that the implementation of the club can be a strategy to motivate students in the appropriation of knowledge, in the strengthening of relationships between club members, something very important in this restrictive context, in addition to favoring the autonomy and feeling of Competence of the involved, a factor that can be intensified if all members have internet access for synchronous meetings. Keywords: Pedagogical strategies. Motivation. Science Club.

Science Club.
