Resumo: This systematic review work aims to understand the relationship between emotions, memory formation and learning. To carry out the study, a search string was formulated with the most relevant terms for the search, considering specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. After analysis, twenty-one works that met the proposed criteria and that were part of the discussions were considered. The evidence found was based on experiments that suggested the influence of the emotional valence previously present in the learning process as being an enhancer of the formation of memories, compared to neutral stimuli; the role of the limbic system in consolidating memories; the bases of stressful stimuli, with an increase in cortisol, which can negatively interfere in the formation of memories and negative emotions as an improvement factor in the formation of item memory.

Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará/UFOPA2021-07-16info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://portaldeperiodicos.ufopa.edu.br/index.php/revistaexitus/article/view/157610.24065/2237-9460.2021v11n1ID1576Revista Exitus; v. 11 (2021); e0201632237-9460reponame:Revista Exitusinstname:Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará (UFOPA)instacron:UFOPAporhttps://portaldeperiodicos.ufopa.edu.br/index.php/revistaexitus/article/view/1576/1023Copyright (c) 2021 Paulo Marcelo Pedroso Pereira, Carla Marina Costa Paxiúba, Celson Pantoja Limahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessPedroso Pereira, Paulo MarceloCosta Paxiúba, Carla MarinaPantoja Lima, Celson 2021-07-15T20:32:22Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/1576Revistahttps://portaldeperiodicos.ufopa.edu.br/index.php/revistaexitus/indexPUBhttps://portaldeperiodicos.ufopa.edu.br/index.php/revistaexitus/oai||revistaicedufopa@gmail.com2237-94602236-2983opendoar:2024-01-24T12:48:26.573091Revista Exitus - Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará (UFOPA)false
