POLITICS, EDUCATION AND THETEACHING OF HISTORY IN THE CONTEXT OF NATIONAL DEVELOPMENTALISM

Resumo: This article is based on the socio-historical perspective on Brazilian education focused on teaching the History discipline and is located in the research field of History of Education. We discuss the teaching of history on economics and development policies in the Amazon territory, contributing to the debate about the influence of national-developmentalism on education. We conduct bibliographical and document research, particularly in the archives of the Paes de Carvalho State College and in the collection of the Memorial do Livro “Moronguêtá”; We analyzed these sources using the content analysis developed by Bardin (2011).

Nuestro objetivo fue discutir La enseñanza de la historia desde el tema económico y el desdoblamiento de las políticas de desarrollo en el território amazónico, buscando contribuir com el debate sobre las implicaciones del desarrollismo nacional para la educación. Establecimos como procedimientos metodológicos la investigación bibliográfica y la investigación documental, realizadas principalmente en los archivos del Colégio Estadual Paes de Carvalho y en el acervo del Memorial Del libro “Moronguêtá”. Para el análisis de las fuentes documentales se utilizó el análisis de contenido en términos de Bardin (2011).Esse artigo baseia-se na perspectiva sócio-histórica da educação brasileira em torno do ensino da disciplina História e está inserido no campo de pesquisa da História da Educação. Nosso objetivo foi discutir o ensino de história a partir da temática econômica e o desdobramento das políticas de desenvolvimento no território amazônico, buscando contribuir com o debate acerca das implicações do nacional-desenvolvimentismo para a educação. Estabelecemos como procedimentos metodológicos a pesquisa bibliográfica e a pesquisa documental, realizada preponderantemente no arquivo do Colégio Estadual Paes de Carvalho e no acervo do Memorial do Livro “Moronguêtá”.
