SCHOOL MANAGEMENT: challenges that permeate the performance of female administrators in municipal and state networks in the North Zone of Rio de Janeiro

Resumo: This work aims to reflect on the dimension of the performance of school administrators in the North Zone of the city of Rio de Janeiro, specifically in the neighborhood of Brás de Pina. The hypothesis defended is that the performance of managers of Brazilian public schools face numerous challenges in relation to their exercise. Thus, the article seeks to analyze the following issues: initial and continuing education, the reality of teacher-managers, the difficulties faced in the school management of public schools, the relationships established with the sponsors, with the families and with the school community. The methodology used was based on the qualitative approach and had as research instrument the semi-structured interview. The research participants were three managers, each one representing a segment of the public network, which included Kindergarten, Elementary School and High School. The analyzes undertaken highlighted the challenges of school management, which demand actions in the different dimensions of work. In the reflections established with the managers, three aspects were highlighted, which were the importance of experience in teaching, continuing education and the need for efficient public policies for the appreciation of teachers. Teacher training.Este trabajo tiene como objetivo reflexionar sobre la dimensión del desempeño de los administradores escolares en la Zona Norte dela ciudad de Rio de Janeiro, específicamente en el barrio de Brás de Pina. La hipótesis defendida es que el desempeño de los gerentes de las escuelas públicas brasileñas enfrenta numerosos desafíos en relación a su ejercicio, por lo que el artículo busca analizar los siguientes temas: la educación inicial y continua, la realidad de los docentes-gerentes, las dificultades enfrentadas en la gestión escolar de las escuelas públicas, las relaciones establecidas con los patrocinadores, con las familias y con la comunidad escolar. La metodología utilizada se basó en el enfoque cualitativo y tuvo como instrumento de investigación la entrevista semiestructurada. Los participantes de la investigación fueron tres gerentes, cada uno representando un segmento de la red pública, que incluía jardín de infantes, escuela primaria y secundaria. Los análisis realizados destacaron los desafíos de la gestión escolar, que demandan acciones en las diferentes dimensiones del trabajo. En las reflexiones establecidas con los directivos, se destacaron tres aspectos, que fueron la importancia de la experiencia en la docencia, la formación continua y la necesidad de políticas públicas eficientes para la valoración de los docentes. Palabras clave: Administración de la educación escolar Gestión pedagógica Formación del profesorado.Este trabalho teve por objetivo refletir sobre a dimensão da atuação de gestoras escolares da Zona Norte da cidade do Rio de Janeiro, especificamente no bairro de Brás de Pina. A hipótese defendida foi a de que as atuações de gestores de escolas públicas brasileiras enfrentam inúmeros desafios diante do seu exercício. Desse modo, o artigo procurou analisar as seguintes questões: a formação inicial e contínua, a realidade dos professores-gestores, as dificuldades enfrentadas na direção escolar das escolas públicas, as relações estabelecidas com as instâncias mantenedoras, com as famílias e com a comunidade escolar. A metodologia utilizada pautou-se na abordagem qualitativa e teve como instrumento de pesquisa a entrevista semiestruturada. As participantes da pesquisa foram três gestoras, cada uma representando um segmento da rede pública, que contemplavam a Educação Infantil, o Ensino Fundamental e o Ensino Médio. As análises empreendidas salientaram os desafios da gestão escolar, que demanda ações nas diferentes dimensões do trabalho. Nas reflexões estabelecidas com as gestoras, três aspectos foram ressaltados: a importância da experiência na docência, a formação contínua e a necessidade de políticas públicas eficientes para a valorização dos professores.
