WORK AS AN EDUCATIONAL PRINCIPLE IN THE PERSPECTIVE OF A GROUP OF TEACHERS FROM IFSC

Resumo: Placed in the context of Professional and Technological Education (EPT), this research aimed at investigating a group of teachers’ conceptions about the theoretical and practical transposition of the foundation Work as an educational principle in the teaching and learning process in EPT. In methodological aspects, the procedure adopted was the qualitative method and case study as the main modality. The subjects are seventeen teachers from EPT, whose data were systematized through the application of semi-structured interviews. The results revealed that part of the teachers had difficulties in discoursing effectively about the theoretical and practical transposition of the foundation studied, since that the only ones who showed greater understanding of such term and its application in teaching and learning process were teachers with a major degree and or with pedagogical complementary major in EPT. It follows that this conceptual gap reflects in technical and utilitarian pedagogical practices dedicated to the labor market and not to the world of work, that is, aren’t effective as a holistic development, which principles and foundations provide conditions for job training and, in a parallel way, the understanding of the contradiction that organizes the conditions of work and society. The fact that most of the teachers in EPT have major and professional practices prior to teaching focused on the labor market, constituted under the capitalist and utilitarian perspective, contribute to such (re)production in/on their pedagogical practice, if there is no effective pedagogical training for a change in the conceptions of world and labor.

En términos metodológicos, el método de procedimiento es cualitativo y la modalidad principal, estudio de caso. Son sujetos de la investigación diecisiete docentes de EPT, cuyos datos han sido sistematizados por la aplicación de entrevista semiestructurada. Los resultados han revelado que una buena parte de los docentes tuvo dificultad en discorrer de forma plena sobre la transposición teórico-práctica del fundamento en estudio, así los pocos que presentaron mejor comprensión de ese término y de su aplicación en el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje fueron docentes con graduación en licenciatura y o con formación complementar pedagógica en EPT. Se concluye que esa brecha conceptual esté reflexionando en prácticas pedagógicas aún tecnicistas y utilitaristas centradas al mercado de trabajo y no al mundo del trabajo, o sea, aún no se efectiva una formación integral, cuyos principios y fundamentos proporcionan las condiciones para la formación laboral y, de forma paralela, de la comprensión de las contradicciones que organizan las condiciones de trabajo y de la sociedad. El hecho de que la mayoría de los docentes de EPT poseen formación académica y prácticas profesionales anteriores a la docencia centrada al mercado de trabajo, constituidos en la perspectiva capitalista y utilitarista, contribuiría para esa (re)reproducción en su quehacer pedagógico, caso no ocurra una formación pedagógica efectiva para un cambio de concepción de mundo y de trabajo.Inserido no contexto da Educação Profissional e Tecnológica, o objetivo geral desta pesquisa foi o de investigar a concepção de um grupo de docentes acerca da transposição teórico-prática do fundamento Trabalho como princípio educativo no processo ensino-aprendizagem da EPT. Em termos metodológicos, o método de procedimento é qualitativo e a modalidade principal, estudo de caso. São sujeitos da pesquisa dezessete docentes da EPT, cujos dados foram sistematizados pela aplicação da entrevista semiestruturada. Os resultados revelaram que uma boa parte dos docentes teve dificuldade em discorrer de forma plena sobre a transposição teórico-prática do fundamento em estudo, sendo que os poucos que apresentaram melhor entendimento desse termo e de sua aplicação no processo ensino-aprendizagem foram docentes com formação em licenciatura e ou com formação complementar pedagógica em EPT. Conclui-se que essa lacuna conceitual esteja refletindo em práticas pedagógicas ainda tecnicistas e utilitaristas voltadas ao mercado de trabalho e não ao mundo do trabalho, ou seja, ainda não se efetiva uma formação integral, cujos princípios e fundamentos proporcionam as condições para a formação laboral e, de forma paralela, do entendimento das contradições que organizam as condições do trabalho e da sociedade.
