Resumo: Sensory processing is an essential element to understand Autism spectrum disorder. Despite this consideration, it is observed that there are few studies on the subject in the field of education. The present study consists of a part of the dissertation result, and aimed to understand how remote teaching affected the learning process and sensory processing of children with ASD. This work was carried out following a qualitative approach and, as a data collection instrument, a semi-structured interview was adopted with 11 family members who accompanied their children with ASD in emergency remote teaching during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, it was possible to verify that the children faced different difficulties arising from the break in routine, such as loss of ability and increase in seizures due to the challenge of living with stimuli related to screen consumption on a daily basis, with the aim of promoting learning, within the home environment.

Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará/UFOPA2023-03-23info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://portaldeperiodicos.ufopa.edu.br/index.php/revistaexitus/article/view/232010.24065/2237-9460.2023v13n1ID2320Revista Exitus; v. 13 (2023); e0230252237-9460reponame:Revista Exitusinstname:Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará (UFOPA)instacron:UFOPAporhttps://portaldeperiodicos.ufopa.edu.br/index.php/revistaexitus/article/view/2320/1396Copyright (c) 2023 Joycy Beatriz Moreira Maia, Ana Valéria Marques Fortes Lustosahttps://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess Maia, Joycy Beatriz MoreiraLustosa, Ana Valéria Marques Fortes2023-03-15T12:39:42Zoai:ojs.pkp.sfu.ca:article/2320Revistahttps://portaldeperiodicos.ufopa.edu.br/index.php/revistaexitus/indexPUBhttps://portaldeperiodicos.ufopa.edu.br/index.php/revistaexitus/oai||revistaicedufopa@gmail.com2237-94602236-2983opendoar:2024-01-24T12:48:34.209279Revista Exitus - Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará (UFOPA)false
