BETWEEN THE INDIGENOUS CHILDREN ZUIMAN AND TAUHITE: Roquette-Pinto and the Pareci and Nambikuara peoples:

Resumo: | The objective of this study was to analyze through a critical review, the representations of indigenous childhood evidenced in the ethnographic records of Roquette-Pinto in the book: "Rondônia" (1919). In this ocasion, the author participated in the expedition in the Serra do Norte located at the time in the states of Amazonas and Mato Grosso, under the Rondon Commission. This reading mobilized the elaboration of this writing in view of the need to know aspects of the children/childhoods relations of the native populations at the beginning of the twentieth century. The methodological procedure adopted was the bibliographic research considering the possibilities theoretical depth and analytical review. The results indicated that the children mentioned by Roquette-Pinto were of two ethnicities: Pareci/Ariti and Nambikuara, peoples who had their territories cut off by the construction project of the Telegraph Lines and who today continue their struggles for the right to existence with dignity. It is concluded that Roquette-Pinto’s reflective notes on childhoods/children allow dialogical approaches to the Sociology of Childhood, Anthropology of Childhood in that they point out cultural specificities in these contexts and with Education through the inseparable relations between caring/educating. A contribution that can broaden the interdisciplinary and intercultural understanding of the theme, in addition to providing important elements about the different childhood productions and their repercussions on contemporaneity. |

El objetivo de este estudio fue analizar por medio de una revisión crítica, las representaciones de infancias indígenas evidenciadas en los registros etnográficos de Roquette-Pinto en el libro: "Rondônia" (1919). En la ocasión, el autor participaba de la expedición en la Sierra del Norte localizada en la época en los estados de Amazonas y Mato Grosso, en el ámbito de la Comisión Rondon. Esta lectura movilizó la elaboración del presente escrito en vista de la necesidad de conocer aspectos de las relaciones niños/infancias de las poblaciones originarias a comienzos del siglo XX. El procedimiento metodológico adoptado fue la investigación bibliográfica considerando las posibilidades de profundización teórica y revisión analítica. Los resultados informaron que los niños citados por Roquette-Pinto eran de dos etnias: Pareci/Ariti y Nambikuara, Pueblos que tuvieron sus territorios cortados por el proyecto de la construcción de las Líneas Telegráficas y que en la actualidad siguen sus luchas por el derecho a la existencia con dignidad. Se concluye que las anotaciones reflexivas de Roquette-Pinto respecto de las infancias/niños posibilitan aproximaciones dialógicas con la Sociología de la Infancia, la Antropología de la Infancia en la medida en que apuntan especificidades culturales en estos contextos y con la Educación por medio de las relaciones indisociables entre cuidar/educar. Una contribución que puede ampliar la comprensión interdisciplinaria e intercultural del tema, además de ofrecer elementos importantes sobre las diferentes producciones de infancia y sus repercusiones en la contemporaneidad. Esta leitura mobilizou a elaboração do presente escrito tendo em vista a necessidade de conhecer aspectos das relações crianças/infâncias das populações originárias no começo do século XX. O procedimento metodológico adotado foi a pesquisa bibliográfica considerando as possibilidades de aprofundamento teórico e o reexame analítico. Os resultados informaram que as crianças citadas por Roquette-Pinto eram de duas etnias: Pareci/Ariti e Nambikuara, povos que tiveram seus territórios cortados pelo projeto da construção das Linhas Telegráficas e que na atualidade seguem suas lutas pelo direito à existência com dignidade. Conclui-se que as anotações reflexivas de Roquette-Pinto a respeito das infâncias/crianças possibilitam aproximações dialógicas com a Sociologia da Infância, a Antropologia da Infância na medida em que apontam especificidades culturais nestes contextos e com a Educação por meio das relações indissociáveis entre cuidar/educar. Uma contribuição que pode ampliar a compreensão interdisciplinar e intercultural do tema, além de disponibilizar elementos importantes sobre as diferentes produções de infância e suas repercussões na contemporaneidade.
