The terminology of pulp production machinery and pedagogical lexicography: didactic-pedagogical relations

Resumo: The terms of a certain area of technical or scientific knowledge are part of the basic principles for understanding the functioning of a language, especially with regard to its possible uses. Thus, identifying equivalents, or even proposing alternative names, fundamental principles of Terminology, motivated the development of a project aimed at understanding terms used in the field of pulp production, more specifically related to the mechanization machinery of the seedling nursery in large eucalyptus plantation companies. The purpose of this work, therefore, is to relate concepts of Pedagogical Lexicography to the domain of pulp Production: mechanization machinery of the seedling nursery, aiming to propose a reflection on the structuring of classes and activities in english language, using an english-portuguese bilingual dictionary, in order to provide the linguistic knowledge necessary to understand the assembly and maintenance manual of the related equipment.

Dessa maneira, identificar equivalentes, ou mesmo propor alternativas de denominação, princípios fundamentais da Terminologia, motivaram o desenvolvimento de um projeto voltado para o entendimento de termos utilizados no domínio da produção de celulose, mais especificamente relacionados ao maquinário de mecanização do viveiro de mudas em grandes empresas de plantio de eucalipto.
