Resumo: This paper is the result of a survey with journalists from four media outlets in Alagoas. The goal is to investigate wether the use of WhatsApp influences the construction of news as well as if it influenced a change in its routines of production. Additionally, we aim at mapping details about the use of the tool and the kinds of data exchanged daily between the newsroom and the places where the facts happened, mediated by reporters, sources, press office and population. The research studies newsrooms from Tv Alagoas (affiliated to the network SBT), Radio CBN, the newspaper Gazeta de Alagoas and the site Cada Minuto.DOI: 10.21204/2359-375X/ancora.v3n2p50-67

O objetivo principal é investigar se o uso do aplicativo para dispositivos móveis WhatsApp influencia na construção das matérias e sua interferência na rotina produtiva. Além disso, buscamos mapear detalhes do uso da ferramenta e os tipos de transmissão de dados entre a redação e os locais onde acontecem os fatos, mediados pelas figuras do repórter, da fonte, da assessoria de comunicação ou da população.
