This research proposed the creation of a profile video report on the poet Jessier Quirino from Paraíba who, throughout his career, has contributed to the dissemination of popular northeastern culture and the perpetuation of the arts of poetry and declamation. “Architect by profession, poet by vocation and matuto by conviction”, as he defines himself, Jessier has unique characteristics as an artist: the simplicity of transforming accurate observation of the Northeast and the sertanejo into verses that describe the daily life of a strong people and sufferer at the same time. To portray the poet's artistic trajectory, indicate clues about the elements that make up his creative process, as well as present the relationship that Jessier has with the audience and the stage, we chose audiovisual production, believing that it is the best tool to achieve our goal . To compose the journalistic audiovisual material, which we here decline to produce, and in an attempt to expose valuable traces of the declaimed poetry and the early stories that make up the artist's work, we used a narrative constructed from the artifices of Literary Journalism, in addition to an interview in depth and bibliography anchored, especially, in popular culture and profile, and from the poetry books and stories authored by Jessier himself. The profile video report lasts forty minutes, will be aired by UFPB TV and made available on the aforementioned broadcaster's digital social networks. Our aim was to build a differentiated journalistic work for TV, but possible. May it serve as a starting point for the production of a series of reports on popular culture in the Northeast and as a guardian of part of the cultural memory of our people.
