Resumo: | Human activity is already understood as a factor that influences the terrestrial system as a whole, causing changes in the atmosphere and oceans that lead to climate change. The main reason for this is the presence, beyond reasonable levels, of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which comes mostly from the use of fossil fuels. For this reason, studies have been carried out for decades in order to guarantee sustainable access to fuels and energies. This leads to climate changes, changing the behavior of climatic parameters, such as air temperature, wind speed, global radiation, cloudiness and so on. The present work is related to this context offering an analysis of how climate changes affect the functioning and production of hot water in a solar collector. Historical climate data from João Pessoa, Paraíba, were compiled, treated and analyzed, establishing climatic trends, using Mann-Kendall's non-parametric statistical tests. These data were applied to a working model of a flat plate solar collector, based on the NBR 15569 standard, so that, jointly with the obtained climatic series, its performance can be evaluated throughout the historical series of climatic data used. Thus, it was possible to identify the level of impact of climatic variability on energy production in this type of renewable energy system. The positive climatic trends identified in the average air temperature leads to a 5% positve impact on the production of hot water in the city of João Pessoa, when comparing the periods 1961-1970, 2009-2018 and 1961-2018. |
